Certification Overview

DRI International provides four levels of professional certification. DRII certification is well-respected and recognized world-wide as the standard for excellence in business continuity management.

Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP)
The ABCP level is for individuals with less than two years of industry experience, but who have minimum knowledge in business continuity management, and have successfully passed the qualifying exam. More info

Certified Business Continuity Vendor (CBCV)
The CBCV level is for individuals selling or providing services to the business continuity community. This individual may have less than two years of industry experience, but demonstrable knowledge of business continuity management, and have successfully passed the qualifying exam. More info

Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
The CBCP certification is for individuals with a minimum of two years of enterprise wide experience as a business continuity / disaster recovery planner in 5 of the Professional Practice areas. More info

Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP)
DRII's newest certification is designed for individuals with a minimum of two years of experience who have passed the qualifying exam but don't have the requisite experience to apply for the CBCP certification. More info

Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)
The Master level certification targets individuals with significant demonstrated knowledge and skills in business continuity management and a minimum of five years of experience as a business continuity planner. More info

Certified Business Continuity Auditor(CBCA)
The CBCA certification is designed for individuals with a minimum two years of practical experience in Emergency Management, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Management or Audit. This experience must have occurred within a ten-year period from your application date. More info

Certified Business Continuity Lead Auditor(CBCLA)
The CBCLA certification is designed for individuals with a minimum five years of significant audit experience. This experience must have occurred within a ten-year period from your application date or you have accomplished and maintained one of the accepted Certifications. More info

Qualifying Exam
Individuals must pass this exam in order to qualify for DRII certification. More info
