Course Description
The
Professional Practices for Business Continuity Professionals are defined as the
skills, knowledge and procedures BC professionals need to lead a BC planning
effort. This course runs over 5 Saturdays with the Qualifying Exam on the
last Saturday. The Saturday track is identical to the full day course with
over 32 hours of instruction. Instructors offer a fast-paced overview of DRII’s business continuity planning model and
delineate the knowledge, skills and procedures needed to effectively execute
each stage. Case study exercises as well as valuable experience sharing by
the instructors will be employed during the course to reinforce learning.

Upon completion of the course participants will
1) be reminded of the BC planning stages and requirements
to effectively implement each one;
2) confirm their understanding of industry terminology;
3) learn recent trends;
4) be able to articulate the roles of the BC planner,
business components and executive management in developing, testing and
maintaining BC plans;
5) sit for the DRI qualifying exam and upon passing,
certified as ABCP
(Associate Business Continuity Professional).

Course: Saturday #1 – #4, 9 am – 6 pm;
Saturday #5, 9 am – 12 noon. *
Qualifying Exam: Saturday #5, 2 pm – 5.30 pm.
Registration Fee: S$4,500 + Prevailing GST;
includes lunch,
and occasional refreshment breaks.
*The Saturday Track requires a minimum of 10
participants to be started. DRI Singapore reserves the right to
cancel or postpone the course date due to insufficient enrollment.

Targeted
for individuals with less than two years of industry experience, but who have
minimum knowledge in business continuity management. The course offers an
overview of the BC planning process through the Professional Practices for
Business Continuity Professionals. We have specially organized this Saturday
course to cater to busy professionals who have work commitment during
weekdays.

Mr Andrew L.W.
Lee (CBCP) has 28 years of experience in the banking industry. Andrew was the
Vice President, Regional Head of BCM for Asia
Pacific, Deutsche Bank AG Asia Pacific Headquarter. He speaks at business
continuity conferences and facilitates workshops regularly. He is the
principal trainer for DRI Singapore.
